‘Garv Diwas’ of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Committee – Jewel of Humanity, Pride of the Guru’s Heart

Forever loyal to the oath of saving lives, committed to helping those in distress and despair, Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Committee shines as a beacon of help, hope, and healing. On this 20th Garv Diwas, we salute and celebrate their bravery, selflessness, gallant life-saving deeds and unwavering commitment to help all those in need – from humans to animals.

The Foundation: A Great Gift for Humanity

This valiant humanitarian team was founded by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan in 2001, with the sole purpose of bringing together young and selfless people who aid in rescue and relief efforts during adversities, calamities, and disasters. Thousands of men and women came forward for the cause and signed affidavits stating that they would be solely responsible in case of any physical harm caused during such rescue efforts.

Trained under the supervision of revered Saint Dr. MSG, these volunteers have been thoroughly prepared to rescue people from collapsed buildings, fires, or drowning incidents, and to provide immediate first aid to accident victims.
They also spearhead activities such as making makeshift homes for those displaced due to earthquakes or other calamities, repairing breached riverbanks, and creating embankments.

Dreams of Little Buds

Deeply inspired and enthusiastic to serve humanity, teenage children and younger kids also wished to participate in humanitarian activities. To encourage them, Saint Dr. MSG launched special initiatives called ‘Teenage Warriors’ and ‘Kids Age Warriors’. These young hearts are empowered with spiritual and moral values and are taught social responsibility. Their dreams of creating a better world are nurtured, forming a strong foundation for a bright future.

Crafting a Saga of Selfless Service and Saving Lives

From rescuing impacted people to providing them relief materials, food, first aid, and clothes, the Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Committee members act as lifelines for those struggling to survive.

Since 2001, under the supreme guidance of Saint Dr. MSG, thousands of these volunteers have saved lakhs of lives – during the 8.1-magnitude earthquake in Gujarat, the deadly tsunami of 2004, flooding of the Ghaggar River, droughts in Rajasthan, the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015, sanitizing cities and donating life-saving blood during the Covid-19 pandemic, providing food and ration to the needy, and saving people from drowning in the flooded localities of Punjab and Haryana during the torrential rainfalls of July 2023. Undaunted and undeterred, they have kept going with the motto of saving lives and serving humanity.

Often, mentally ill and lost people are mistaken for beggars or even thieves. In their disoriented state, some are beaten, others fall ill, and some face brutal and inhumane treatment. These volunteers care for such people as their own – providing them medical treatment, shelter, and reuniting them with their families. Hundreds of such individuals have been reunited with their loved ones to date.

These brave hearts dutifully engage in  that include helping dug-addicts overcome addictions, blood donation, tree plantation, women empowerment initiatives etc.

This 20th Garv Diwas celebrates their undaunted spirit and resolve, with which they have been creating an epic historical saga of selfless service in India as well as globally.

Reviving Traditional Indian Games, Signifying Importance of Fitness

The Garv Diwas is marked by traditional Indian games that have been part of our rich cultural heritage for centuries, such as Langda Sher, Rumaal Chhoo, and Baans se Dhakelna. The games have been carefully chosen and their rules renewed by Saint Dr. MSG himself.

Through these traditional games, the Garv Diwas celebrates our glorious Indian culture and heritage while highlighting the importance of fitness, agility, power, and strength.
Teams from various states – Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and more – clash to win the final trophies. Each player puts their best foot forward, the matches are captivating with jaw-dropping contests, and the audience gets the thrill of a lifetime!

These matches also inspire the Indian youth to channel their energy into sports as well as social upliftment, and to stay away from vices and drugs.

Garv Diwas: The Mark of Pride

The valiant volunteers of the Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Committee are ready 24×7 and are always the first to reach and respond to any adversity. They stand shoulder to shoulder with the authorities, providing a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on for those suffering.

These brave do-gooders take nothing in return and do not aspire for name or fame.
‘Garv Diwas’ is a day that honours these brave hearts, marking the pride of revered Guru Saint Dr. MSG in their relentless efforts and humanitarian services.

Kudos to their dedication, commitment, and never-ending efforts towards saving lives.
Best wishes to the Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Committee on this Garv Diwas.
